The Academy is an in-depth training that is facilitated by the education and training committee of TASN. It is designed to provide the practical business skills for school food service administration. Invaluable resources will be provided to child nutrition directors, assistant directors, supervisors, and managers.
The Academy offers a four-part series of comprehensive courses in school food service management. Courses will cover eight key areas pertinent to operating a sound, successful school food service program. A highly qualified team of instructors will guide participants through each course and share insights reached through years of hands on experience.
To attend Administrative Academy a member must be a member in good standing, 3 years school food service experience OR an unofficial transcript of an Associate Degree + 2 years’ of school food service experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and submit a letter of recommendation or sponsor letter from their Superintendent/Director.
The Academy is a (32) hour course and the fee is $550.00
At this time, TASN will be tentatively hosting an in-person Administrative Academy on February 16-17, 2021 in Austin, Tx and June 19th & 20th, 2021 in San Antonio, Tx. ALL participants, including attendees, staff, hotel etc. will be adhering to social distancing guidelines.
