Article Submission Guidelines



Submission
We welcome article submissions for our member magazine, the TASNews. When considering a submission, please adhere to our firm deadline dates. News must be submitted electronically at publications@tasn.net.

Chapter News



Chapter News should include updates on chapter activities that your chapter has completed since the last submission, plans your chapter has for the future, recognition of chapter members who’ve made a contribution to your chapter activities, and any other news related to your chapter. Chapter News can also include recognition that your chapter has received from your district or the community.

Maximum photos: 2 photos may be submitted in .jpg or .tif formats and must be original files (please do not add photos to word documents, they will not print clearly). When multiple photos are submitted, printed photo sizes will decrease. If photos include children, check with your district administration to be sure that a release form is on file for each child pictured and send confirmation to publications@tasn.net.

District News



District News should include exciting programs and/or events that your district food service department has sponsored or participated in, recognition that your department has received from your district or community, and any bright ideas that your district has used that might help other districts around the state.

Maximum photos: 3 photos may be submitted in .jpg or .tif formats and must be original files (please do not add photos to word documents, they will not print clearly). When multiple photos are submitted, printed photo sizes will decrease. If photos include children, check with your district administration to be sure that a release form is on file for each child pictured and send confirmation to publications@tasn.net.

Educational and Featured Articles should provide learning opportunities for TASN members. Please contact TASN Headquarters at 800-444-5189 or email publications@tasn.net to discuss educational articles before submission.
